University of Arizona Law Announces 2022 Faculty Research Awards

The University of Arizona James E. Rogers College of Law has named the 2022 Faculty Research Award recipients. The awards highlight the scholarly achievement of University of Arizona Law faculty. This year’s awardees are:

Faculty Research Fellowship: Ellie Bublick

Distinguished Early Career Scholar Award: Shalev Roisman

Distinguished Public Service Scholar Award: Susie Salmon

Distinguished Legal Scholar Award: Andrew Keane Woods

Profs. Roisman, Salmon, and Woods. (Prof. Bublick is pictured below.)

University of Arizona Professor of Law, and last year’s Distinguished Early Career Scholar Albertina Antognini served as this year’s Faculty Research Awards Committee Chair. Albertina commented:

“The Committee was so impressed by the work our colleagues are doing and it was an honor and a pleasure for us to be able to recognize a few of them with these formal awards. Their areas of expertise range from considering the relationship between legal pedagogy and the practice of law, to the duties we owe strangers, to the law of presidential power, to the global regulation of the internet. In each of these topics our awardees are not only making original contributions to legal scholarship, but they are also having a considerable impact on policymaking and on-the-ground reform efforts.”

The challenge each year in selecting faculty research award winners at our College is substantial – a puzzle generated by an active community of superb scholars.

One of the many distinguishing features of the work of Arizona faculty is the accessibility of the work, by which I mean it is readable, engaging and provocative – and worth some of your time to enjoy. In our digital age, another dimension of accessibility is that much of the work is online, and available to any reader. You can find much to enjoy at Faculty Scholarship | University of Arizona Law.

Warmly,
