Greetings,
Last week, we celebrated the college's
Centennial. In true Arizona Law
fashion the many events embraced all of our
community -- our fabulous current
students, faculty past and present, and of
course, as Homecoming suggests, our many alumni,
and many friends. It was a week
spent catching up and celebrating the history of the
college and the lives of its many extraordinary members.
It was a spirited convergence of 700-plus people, coming
together to reminisce about the past and dream about the
future. It was, in a word,
spectacular!
We heard tales of inspiration, careers
launched, racial and gender barriers smashed, and
legacies built at Arizona Law. We also heard stories of
romance, such as spouses married for 40 years who met on
the first day of law school, friendships that started
over a torts book, and a few stories of mischief along
the way (you know who you are).
Thank you to all who found the time in your busy
lives to be a part of the celebration. As many
of you heard me say at the all-alumni reception on
Friday, for 100 years this institution has focused on
students. To commemorate our Centennial, we have
launched a formal scholarship campaign aimed at
celebrating dreams realized, opportunities created, and
potential unlocked. I invite each of you to help
us realize our goal of 20 percent alumni participation
by making a gift In Favor of Students.
Here we share just a few of the joyous moments
from our spectacular week.

Since a picture is worth a thousand words,
this would technically be one of the longer issues of
Wildcat Wednesday-Letter of The Law.
I hope you can see the red and blue, the deep
support for each other, and the love for our college
that we see every day but that we celebrate, together,
at Homecoming.
100 years. And
counting!
Warmly,
